How to print fluorescent colors with a DTF printer

Did you know? If you want a simple and convenient technology to print bright colors, then DTF printing is the answer. DTF printers can print high-resolution images, allowing you to turn your ideas into reality.

Do you want to make your design more unique? Then you can use fluorescent color schemes to further enhance the beauty of DTF printing. Bright colors make materials (especially clothing) look more attractive. I will introduce how to print fluorescent colors using DTF printers in this blog.

What are Fluorescent Colors?

DTF printers need to use fluorescent ink to print fluorescent colors. Fluorescent ink has fluorescent agents, which produce fluorescent effects when exposed to ultraviolet light (sunlight, fluorescent lamps, and mercury lamps are more common), emitting white light, making the color look dazzling.

Fluorescent colors absorb and reflect light more than ordinary or traditional colors. Therefore, their pigments are brighter and more vivid than ordinary colors. Fluorescent colors, standard terminology, are also called neon colors.

Step-by-Step Guide to the Printing Process

Step 1:

The first step of the process is creating the design on to computer.

Step 2:

The next step is all about setting up the DTF Printer and loading it with fluorescent inks. Selecting the correct fluorescent inks is also crucial in this step.

Step 3:

The third step concerns preparing the transfer film. You must ensure that the film is clean and free of dust particles. Any ignorance in this regard can directly impact the quality of the print.

Step 4:

Print your design onto the printing firm. For this purpose, you can make use of a garment printer.

Step 5:

The next step is the application of the DTF Printing powder. The DTF printing powder ensures that the print sticks to the garment or any other substance perfectly during the transfer process. It also ensures strong adhesiveness. Make sure to apply the powder to the film in an even manner.

Step 6:

This step involves bonding the fluorescent ink to the film. For this purpose, you can use a heat press, DTF press, or tunnel dryer. This step is called curing the ink to bond perfectly with the film.

Step 7:

In the next step, you transfer the design from the film to the substrate. Implementing this step requires you to either use a heat press or transfer the design to the substrate (primarily t-shirts) and then peel the film off.

For fine finishing and in case of excess powder left, you can use office paper. Just press the paper for a few seconds on the design.

Remember, if you want to print high-quality fluorescent color prints, you need to choose high-quality fluorescent inks. Using inferior inks will cause the pattern to break and affect its quality.

Water-based pigment inks are considered the best choice for DTF printing. Not only do they produce high-quality prints, but they also last longer.

Advantages of Printing Fluorescent Colors with DTF Printers

High-Quality Prints
DTF printing with fluorescent inks results in accurate, bright, and high-resolution prints. They print images with sharp and fine details.

Long Lasting
Since DTF printing uses heat technology, the prints it creates are of good quality. They are long-lasting and offer good resistance to fading and washing.

Unique Printing Methods
DTF printing with fluorescent inks offers unique printing. Such bright and attractive printing and designs are impossible with traditional printing methods.

Applications

Fluorescent colors are a desirable element in the DTF printing technique. They glow when exposed to UV light, giving them a striking, shiny appeal. Designs most commonly used in sports, fashion, and other promotional items use fluorescent colors for printing purposes.

Conclusion

DTF printing is an efficient printing method that perfectly amalgamates creativity and technological innovation. The use of fluorescent colors further enhances its usefulness. With the help of DTF printers, brands and manufacturers can give life to their ideas.
